OP: DITA’s Made-to-order program has just arrived at On Pedder stores. Is there a big movement towards made-to-order sunglasses?
JS & JJ: Yes, because it helps people personalize their frames. It becomes a more intimate experience, as there are more options offered.
OP: What are the biggest trends in eyewear we should look out for in the coming seasons? Will the reflective lenses trend continue in a major way?
JS & JJ: The biggest trend will definitely be oversized cat eye frames. Plastic and metal combinations will be big as well. As far as the reflective lenses trend, we think it’s all about each person’s personal preference.
OP: DITA is already loved by the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Alba and Scarlett Johansson. Who else would you love to see wearing the brand?
JS & JJ: We would love to see every stylish woman in the world wearing Dita. Not just celebrities. We love seeing women wear their DITAs in their own unique & individual ways.
OP: You are both lifelong friends, and partners in business. Any tips for keeping friendship intact while working so closely together for so many years?
JS & JJ: It’s all about compromise.
OP: How would you describe the DITA way-of-life?
JS & JJ: To us, the DITA way-of-life is about getting to work with our friends & family, while creating & building things we love. It’s about fun times, and this spirit hasn’t changed since we started 20 years ago.
